Has The End Of The Banana Arrived?

  1. if bananas went extinct it wouldn't really effect me because I don't like bananas. this would probably effect my mom and sisters and everyone else but I hate bananas. I think it's sad that the Africans would not have bananas anymore if that is their only food source. I dont want them to starve because they can't have bananas anymore. I think scientists should try and find a way to get rid of this disease so we can still have bananas.

  2. It would shock me if bananas went extinct. They are one of the most popular fruits and one of the healthiest. If they went extinct alot of people would probably be upset because alot of people eat them worldwide.

  3. It would be surprising if bananas became extinct, because i dont think no fruit have ever been extinct before. Are all the seeds to plant this is gone? Because how will they be extinct? People need them for protein in our body and monkeys need them too.

  4. Bananas are big business. There are over 1,000 varieties of bananas, but the ones you see in your supermarket are the Cavendish banana. Bananas are the most popular fruit in America and almost all of them come from South and Central America. But it won't affect me as much because I don't like bananas.

  9. For me personally, it really wouldn't bother me because I'm allergic to bananas. It's horrible for others though because bananas are a good source of potassium and they're very healthy. In some countries, they're the most valuable fruit.

  12. Its crazy to think bananas could go extinct. I love bananas and they are great for me and i love eating them before i run cause they help with cramps. and it will be terrible if they went extinct cause some people might not have anything to eat but bananas.

  13. Although I never really liked bananas, it would still be sad to see them go. This is honestly the first time I had heard of bananas going "extinct" and its even happened before, I wonder if i will learn about this in history? anyways so one of the bad things about this is a lot of potassium levels will go down but I'm thinking that if it had happened once before and was replaced by the now common banana, could it ever happen again? If the now common banana was to be demolished by this discovered disease, would we be able to find another replacement? This doesn't really bother me though cause i never really liked the taste of bananas.

  16. I never really eat bananas so if they went extinct it wouldn't really bother me. It would still be weird not seeing them at stores or anywhere else anymore. Bananas provide a lot of potassium so it would be a bad thing for a lot of people if they went extinct. I hope someone finds a way to cure this disease.

  18. I don't exactly love bananas all that much, but they add some flavor to a few kinds of foods I like. It would break my heart to see them go. They also help in the summer when I've been in the sun too much to help calm my stomach. I really hope they don't go extinct.

  19. Its crazy to think bananas could go extinct. I love bananas but not that much. If bananas were to go extinct what will happen to all the bananas companies out there? Would they shut down? Maybe scientists could find a way to Karen outbreak of disease.
